Learn to knit or crochet, or tackle that project you've been thinking about for a long time. Intermediate to advanced level knitters should have a project in mind and bring proper yarn and supplies. Thursday Evening Class | Learn How to Knit Socks with Jill Niemiec

This 8 week course will teach you how to knit your own warm, soft, wooly socks for you or as a gift. You must know how to knit and purl. Jill will show you how to use double pointed needles and to start the cuff and work to turning the heel and then finishing the bind off technique without the sock being bulky or uncomfortable.

Supplies needed for this class are a set of #2 (2.75mm) double pointed needles and 2 skeins of Paton Kroy Sock Yarn. The yarn comes in many color variations and both items can usually be purchased at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn Fabrics or on Amazon.

If you are interested in knitting as a beginner, please bring size 7 knitting needles and a skein of worsted yarn in your choice of color. All others (crochet, macrame, etc.) should touch base with the instructor on their project of choice. Contact us for further instructions.

More intermediate or experienced knitters (or other fiber artists) should bring their current projects or a project they have in mind to class with the required supplies.
