In this class we will learn the basics of how to use encaustic medium in painting.  We will cover how to prepare your substrate, how to apply and fuse the layers of encaustic, various techniques for creating images with encaustic paint, and how to incorporate other compatible mediums and techniques to create beautiful, multilayered paintings. Maximum class size is 8 so instructor can give plenty of individual attention. 
 
All supplies provided and included in workshop fee. Participants are welcome to bring their own personal collage materials to include if desired, but this is not required. Instructor will provide variety to choose from.
